JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Mechanical/Electrical Field Service Technician

Position Description:
Fresh Tech Systems LLC, builds and maintains proprietary post-harvest berry processing equipment. This equipment is located at customer coolers, where it is the responsibility of the Mechanical/Electrical Field Service Technician to maintain the system in optimal working condition and provide value to our customers by upholding the Company's standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity. Must be proficient in all functions of the job including but not limited to servicing and maintaining Company's mechanical/electrical equipment; receiving, storing, and maintaining parts and material inventories; and preparing and sending reports to the business office from remote location.
The ideal candidate is energetic and honest, with excellent communication skills. Maintains a positive attitude, shows good judgment, and can work well in both teams, supervised and individual working environments. Must be self-motivated and can manage multiple tasks. Salary is commensurate with experience and skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain mechanical/electrical equipment in optimal working order.
• Investigate, research, and solve equipment-related problems.
• Manage On-Site Spare Parts and Material Inventories, ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged, reconciled, and reported in a timely manner.
• Prepare daily, monthly, and seasonal equipment maintenance and complete reports on performance metrics.
• Establish and adjust work schedule to meet customer demands and maximize workflow efficiency.
• Establish, maintain, and promote high standards of customer service.
• Enforce Company safety regulations.
• Maintain strong communication with customer, other team members, and business office.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical machinery maintenance.
• Knowledge of Electro-Mechanical and/or Automated machinery is preferred (i.e., conveyors, photo-eyes, PLCs)
• Must be able to read programmable controller logic and other software programs.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications Outlook, Excel.
• Must be willing to travel between company systems.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Have a strong sense of urgency and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Have strong problem solving and organizational skills.
• Demonstrate mature-minded approach to business.
• Must be flexible with work hours as may be required by production and on-call demands.
• Valid California Driver`s License and automobile insurance.
Work Environment (Listed below are key points regarding environmental demands and work environment of the job):
• Ability to work in a cold environment for long periods of time.
• Extended periods of time sitting or standing.
• Maintain neat and organized work and storage spaces.
• Safely perform physical tasks including lifting, pushing, and pulling using proper lifting/moving techniques – up to 60 lbs.
