The City of Santa Cruz is currently seeking an effective and motivated communicator with public agency experience in building codes, housing codes and zoning enforcement for the position of Code Compliance Specialist within the Planning and Community Development Department. Under direct supervision, the Code Compliance Specialist effectively administers a code enforcement program whereby, in coordination with other staff and agencies, deficiencies in compliance of properties with applicable building, zoning, fire, housing and health and safety codes are identified, through investigations, field inspections and analysis, in order to induce corrective actions by property owners and to enforce code compliance in accordance with established laws, policies and procedures.  Minimum qualifications include public agency experience related to building codes, housing codes, and zoning enforcement.  For a complete list of the minimum qualifications for this position, please refer to the full job description at the City of Santa Cruz Jobs page on the link below.
