Santa Cruz Public Libraries has three full-time vacancies for Librarian I/II at branch locations throughout the Library System – one at the Boulder Creek branch, one vacancy at the Scotts Valley branch, and one vacancy at the Capitola branch. The eligible list established from this recruitment may be used to fill Librarian I/II vacancies at any branch during the life of the list. Under general direction the Librarian I/II applies the core competencies of a professional librarian and their knowledge gained from practice and continuing education to deliver customer-driven public library services. Minimum qualifications for the Librarian I are a Master of Science degree in Library and Information Studies or Librarianship the Librarian II also requires one year of supervisory experience in a professional setting. The bilingual ability to speak Spanish is a very highly desirable qualification for the Boulder Creek and Scotts Valley locations.
