Recreation Supervisor (Two Vacancies)

$6,294.00 - $8,856.00 Monthly

There are currently two full-time vacancies for Recreation Supervisor in the Parks and Recreation Department. One vacancy is for Recreation Supervisor at the Civic Auditorium, and one is in Events and Classes. Under direction, the Recreation Supervisor plans, organizes, promotes, and supervises recreational programs, activities, and events within assigned programmatic areas or the operations, maintenance, and programs of a public facility; performs related work as assigned.

Minimum requirements are a Bachelor`s degree in recreation, sociology, public administration, or a related field, two years of responsible administrative experience in coordinating community programs or events and one year of supervisory responsibility. In lieu of the Bachelor`s degree, candidates may also qualify with a high school diploma or tested equivalent and five years of responsible administration experience in coordinating community programs or events and one year of supervisory responsibility. A valid California driver's license is also required.
