The City of Santa Cruz has a current vacancy for Senior Plans Examiner. Diverse projects await your review in the beachside City of Santa Cruz! We are receiving exciting new development projects every day. You could be involved in the plan review and construction phases for many projects, such as muti-story residential and residential over commercial projects, some with sub-grade parking; a planned hotel and conference center; and a new arena for the Santa Cruz Warriors basketball team. The Building Division is a passionate team within the Planning and Community Development Department that strives to help the City’s development projects and keep our community safe, one plan review at a time. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about plan review and helping coordinate review services with the public and other City departments. The salary for this role is $82,440 - $116,016 annually, with up to 10% added incentive pay for additional approved professional certifications over required base certifications.
