19six is seeking a highly motivated Architectural Design Professional III / Job Captain to support K-12/education projects within our Santa Cruz,  office's design studios.

Primary Role & Responsibilities

  • Create, coordinate, revise, and maintain project design, production, and documentation at all project phases (Pre-Design through Construction Administration and Certification).
  • Responsible for production of Construction Documents.
  • Produce and comprehend architectural redlines and efficiently produce documents and revisions.
  • Oversee quality control and ensure compliance within project scope and budget.
  • Coordinate design with consultants and architectural team.
  • Delegate and oversee work of Design Professional I and/or II on team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and clearly with architectural team, consultants, and clients.
  • Handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's of Architecture required.
  • Five (5+) years` experience working on Education, preferably K-12 related projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Acrobat and MS Office software is required (must have AutoDesk Revit Professional Certification w/in 90 days).
  • Experience with DSA submission/approval process is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player with desire and willingness for continual professional development.
  • Detail oriented, highly motivated, positive attitude, and proactive problem solver.
  • Passion for design and construction.
