Come and be a part of the City of Santa Cruz Resource Recovery Facility team located at 605 Dimeo Lane working with recyclable materials. The City of Santa Cruz is currently hiring for the position of Resource Recovery Worker I/II in the Public Works Department. Under general supervision, the Resource Recovery Worker I/II performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks and assists in the daily operations of the Resource Recovery Facility; collects, sorts and bales recyclable materials; moves and stacks material using vehicles and equipment; directs the public in unloading items; cleans and maintains the worksite; and performs other related duties as assigned. The Resource Recovery Worker I position requires some manual labor experience. The Resource Recovery Worker II position requires a high school diploma or tested equivalent, six months of experience performing duties comparable to the Worker I position, and a valid Class B driver`s license. Applicants applying for the Worker II position will be required to submit a DMV printout at the time of application. DMV printout is not required for the Worker I position.
