The County of Santa Cruz is seeking a Parks, Recreation & Cultural Worker II – IV.

Salary: $20.36 - 22.28 / Hour *Includes $2.00 / hour Extra Help Differential

THE JOB: The Parks Department is hiring Level II, Level III, and Level IV Recreation Leaders for our Learning and Enrichment Camps. These camps serve school-age children, offering engaging recreational activities and enriching experiences. Under supervision, Recreation Leaders perform duties related to recreational, cultural and park operational programs for children and adults at a variety of sites; and do other work as required.

THE REQUIREMENTS: Any combination of training and experience which would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain these would be: 

Parks, Recreation & Cultural Worker II: The full-time equivalent of three months experience, which demonstrates the knowledge and abilities for the particular assignment/program.

Parks, Recreation & Cultural Worker III: The full-time equivalent of six months experience, which demonstrates the required knowledge and abilities for the particular assignment/program. Prior supervisory experience may be required for certain positions.

Parks, Recreation & Cultural Worker IV: The full-time equivalent of nine months experience, which demonstrates the required knowledge and abilities for the particular assignment/program. Prior supervisory experience may be required for certain positions.

Background Investigation: Fingerprinting is required for persons 18 and older. Minors will be fingerprinted with parental/guardian consent.
