Santa Cruz Public Libraries has an opportunity available for a part-time Bookmobile Library Assistant. This is a Limited-Term position for a duration of one year working 32 hours per week with pro-rated benefits.  The Bookmobile Library Assistant will work out of Library Headquarters in the Outreach Department in downtown Santa Cruz, providing outreach to a variety of locations throughout Santa Cruz County, including special appearances. The Bookmobile Library Assistant is responsible for transporting library materials in a 28-foot truck. The current schedule is 3-4 days per week, with some flexibility, to include Saturdays. Minimum requirements are a high school diploma or tested equivalent, two years of customer service work experience, a valid California Class C driver`s license and ability to safely drive a large vehicle/truck for extended periods of time. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills with adults and children.
