The Police Records Technician is an exciting and fast-paced position. You will be working in the heart of the Police Department with frequent contact with members of the Department and the public. Under general supervision, the Police Records Technician performs responsible clerical work primarily involving police records, report preparation and maintenance, and related clerical work as required. Minimum qualifications are a high school degree or equivalent, two years of general clerical experience, including typing and file maintenance, and a valid Class C driver`s license. Successful candidates will be extremely detail oriented and able to effectively organize and prioritize work assignments in this busy and sometimes hectic work environment with strict legal deadlines and extensive interaction with the public. Police Records Technicians work a 4/10 schedule which may include weekends and holidays, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Qualified candidates will be required to fill out a Non-Sworn Personal History Statement and undergo a thorough background investigation including a polygraph exam.  For more information and the full job description, please go to the City Jobs page at the link below.
