The City of Santa Cruz currently has two full-time vacancies for Program Analyst I/II in the Customer Assistance Section of the Water Department. Under general supervision, the Program Analyst I or direction Program Analyst II, plans, coordinates, develops, implements, and administers one or more programs in support of City services, initiatives, and/or operational activities; ensures program compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and City policies; conducts research and analyzes data; prepares reports, grants, correspondence, and a variety of other materials; and performs public outreach for assigned programs.

Customer Assistance Section of the Water Department: The Program Analyst I/II in Water Customer Assistance is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering water efficiency and low income programs aimed at assisting water utility customers. These programs include the Leak Outreach Program, the Payment Arrangement Program, the Low Income Water Efficiency Program, and others. These positions require a high degree of both technical and interpersonal skill to both administer programs and provide assistance to customers. These positions will coordinate work with Customer Service staff on a regular basis, so the ability to work well with a team is paramount.
