Human Resources Analyst I/II - Employee & Labor Relations

*Pay Range – Hourly: $41.1097 - $56.6885

Annually: $85,512.00 - $117,912.00

The City of Santa Cruz is actively seeking an outstanding Human Resources Analyst I/II for their Employee and Labor Relations division. As a Human Resources Analyst, you'll play a critical role in advancing this mission by supporting our strategic human resources initiatives.

The ideal candidate for this vacancy will possess the following skillset:

  • Analytical and Comprehensive contract negotiation research and preparation 
  • Proactive and Strategic labor relations and policy development
  • Detailed and Precise cost analysis on negotiation proposals 
  • Collaborative communication that enhances team productivity and engagement
  • Systematic and Thorough documentation of employee/labor relations processes
  • Innovative and Forward-Thinking approach to resolving labor disputes

 Minimum qualifications for the Human Resources Analyst I position are:

A Bachelor`s degree in human resources management, business, public administration or a related field; and

Two (2) years of professional analytical experience performing duties in one or a combination of the following or closely related areas: human resources, budgeting, management analysis, planning, program evaluation or policy analysis. An additional two (2) years of the above referenced experience may be substituted for the bachelor`s degree.

OR  A Bachelor`s degree in human resources management, business, public administration or a related field; and One (1) year para-professional Human Resources work experience which includes a variety of complex technical, clerical and administrative activities. An additional one (1) year of the above referenced experience may be substituted for the bachelor`s degree.
