There are currently three vacancies for the position of Administrative Assistant II, one full-time vacancy in the City Clerk's Office, one full-time vacancy in the Public Works Department, and one part-time vacancy working 20 hours per week in the Parks & Recreation Department. Full-time regular positions receive full benefits. Part-time regular position receives pro-rated benefits. Under general supervision, the Administrative I/II performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties related to the function and/or department to which assigned, including typing, filing, record-keeping, general reception, and customer service. These public-facing positions will provide customer service to the public and support to department staff by performing various clerical and administrative support functions including processing invoices, purchase orders, business correspondence, document tracking and maintaining various filing systems. The current vacancies are for Administrative Assistant II, which requires a high school diploma or tested equivalent and two years of general clerical experience which includes one year of basic computer use. Qualified applicants will be invited to participate in an online skills assessment.
The eligibility list established from this recruitment is valid for up to one year from the date established unless the list is extended or abolished by the Human Resources Director. The salary range for the Administrative Assistant I is $21.80- $30.67 hourly.
