Development Manager – Housing Division

The City of Santa Cruz Economic Development and Housing Department is currently seeking a Development Manager in the Housing Division. The Development Manager in the Housing Division will chart the direction for complex project development plans and applicable funding programs to finance affordable housing projects.  Develop and oversee multi-layered project budgets from several funding sources.  Manage varied regulations for multiple funding programs, compliance and monitoring and layer them into project performance deadlines, affordability mix, income and eligibility criteria, legal agreements, budget drawdowns and other financing tools. Negotiate complicated transactions and agreements and applicable matters for project development plans. Plan, organize, and supervise the work of a Principal Management Analyst and manage consultants on various project development activities. This position requires a Bachelor`s degreefrom an accredited college or university in economic business, planning or closely related field; and four years of increasingly responsible, professional experience in community development, redevelopment, private development or Successor Agency operation; one year of supervisory experience, and a California driver`s license.
