Overview
Esperanza Community Farms (ECF) is a non-profit organic community farm based in Watsonville, CA. ECF is a system-changing, sustainable community agriculture project focused on increasing food security and good health among families living in the Pajaro and Salinas Valleys, especially those from under-resourced communities. We are a dedicated team looking to hire a passionate and driven individual for the Farm 2 Cafeteria (F2C) Project Manager position.
The F2C Project Manager will coordinate and implement student leadership programs/internships and student participation on high school campuses in PVUSD and on the farm. In addition, the F2C Project Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders involved in the Farm 2 Cafeteria Project.

Duties & Responsibilities
F2C Youth Leaders Internship
- Meet with and mentor Farm 2 Cafeteria Youth Leaders Interns in April, through July,
- Support student leadership development in the F2C internship over the summer with field trips, activities, trainings & workshops, etc.
- Coordinate civic engagement opportunities 1-2 per year for interns
- Aid students in preparing presentations for city council, school district
board, etc.
School Year F2C Programming
- Communicate and coordinate with the ECF team and farmers regarding vegetables procurement each week, deliveries, etc.
- Communicate with school-based representatives at Pajaro Valley High (PVHS) about F2C in the regular school year (August-November)
- Manage operation of farm to cafeteria program.
- Identify strategies for engaging students in the school year program at PVHS
- Track progress and outcomes based on established metrics of success &
complete grant reports

Other
- Meet regularly with the ECF team and organization Co-Leaders.
- Interface with ECF stakeholders and partners as needed
- Support communications team for F2C
- Provide farm labor support when needed
Preferred Skills, Abilities, & Experience:
- Bilingual and Biliterate (Spanish & English)
- Previous experience with coordinating youth ages 14-18
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Valid driver's license
- Physically capable to lift/squat max 30 lbs.
- Strong communication skills with diverse stakeholders
