The City of Santa Cruz is currently hiring a Senior Building Inspector in the Planning and Community Development Department. The Building Division is a passionate team within the Planning and Community Development Department that strives to help the City`s development projects and keep our community safe. Under direction, the Senior Building Inspector performs a variety of the journey level inspection services and assists in planning and directing division inspection activities; coordinates building inspection services activities with other city departments; and performs combination field inspections of residential, commercial and industrial projects for compliance with applicable construction codes.
