The City of Santa Cruz has an immediate full-time opening for Payroll Technician in the Finance Department. Come work in our beautiful new office suite and walk downstairs to lunch or shop in vibrant downtown Santa Cruz, stroll to the iconic Wharf on your lunch break, or even some catch some epic waves before starting your day. Under general supervision, the Payroll Technician accurately processes all City employee earnings, benefits and tax-related information in a timely manner; compiles and maintains a variety of payroll and benefit records and reports; and performs related work as required. Minimum qualifications for this position are a high school diploma or tested equivalent and three years of paraprofessional accounting experience which includes one year of payroll and/or benefits processing.
