Summary of Job Duties

Under general supervision, provide a variety of administrative support functions for the Human Resources Department.  This is an hourly, non-exempt position. 30 hours a week. 

Specific Job Duties:

  1. Provide a wide variety of administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources team.
  2. Perform daily reception duties including, but not limited to, answer general phone and email inquiries, assure that visitors sign in and conduct proper sanitization protocols, open and sort incoming mail, maintain the HR conference room schedules, keep employee forms stocked, and keep the reception area clean and plants watered.
  3. Conduct and assure proper sanitizing of lobby and HR conference (file) room. 
  4. Maintain all filing of various documents into the employee personnel files or appropriate locations.
  5. Maintain all HR files such as employee files, reports, purchase orders, pamphlets, etc.
  6. Assist with recruiting efforts as needed which include, but not limited to: posting jobs, administering tests, scheduling interviews, and reference checks.
  7. Prepare all new hire paperwork in preparation for orientations and enter new employees into the Paycom database. Coordinate new-hire information with the Payroll department. Submit new hire reports to the EDD.
  8. Process EDD requests for information and assure Payroll is provided all wage garnishment orders.
  9. Process all Personnel Action items such as W-4 and address changes, department or shift changes, promotions, etc. and process the PAF (Personnel Action Form) report for the Payroll department.
  10. Prepare employee termination paperwork and schedule exit interviews with appropriate team member.
  11. Complete and submit verifications of employment upon request.
  12. Attend and participate in HR team meetings.
  13. Perform all other tasks as assigned by Threshold management.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  1. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Minimum 2 years of administrative support or general clerical experience.
  4. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  5. High School Diploma or GED.
  6. Bilingual (English and Spanish) essential.
  7. Ability to type 40 wpm and pass the company administrative tests at a minimum of 80%

Other Skills and/or Training Desired:

  1. Experience with Paycom HRIS database.
  2. Experience with MS PowerPoint, Publisher and Visio.
