Sierra Instruments is currently looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Calibration Technician. The position of Calibration Technician reports to the 100 Series Cal Lab Lead and is responsible for performing the testing of electronic devices and calibration.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform standard testing and calibration process on any Fox manufactured product

  • Prepare and inspect devices for calibration

  • Maintain documentation for work orders

  • Set-up flow stations for testing and calibrations

  • Record results per calibration procedure

  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment

Position Requirements:

  • Competent at PCB testing using programming equipment

  • Must be able to follow ESD safety practices

  • Knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment

  • Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures regarding flow measurement

  • Strong interpersonal, organization and time management skills

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds

  • Able to work independently and work well with others

  • Good writing, documentation, and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ISO/ATEX/LVD standards for CE marked products

  • Degree in science from an accredited university or 3 years work experience in relative field

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows (7,10) and Microsoft Office (365)

Working Conditions:

  • Physical Demand(s): 

    • Repetitive pushing, pulling, carrying and lifting up to 50 lbs.
    • Frequent standing walking, bending, twisting, lifting,
  • Visual Demand(s): Normal vision, hearing sensitivity, good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity is necessary in position

  • Hazard(s): Fast-paced manufacturing work environment
