Starting Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000/annually. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Involves ordering, inventory records management and tracking, receipt, storage, and distribution of equipment, materials, and supplies.

Under the general direction of the Fiscal & Business Operations Manager of Physical Plant Services, the Inventory Manager is responsible for all phases of inventory control and acquisition for the Shop Store and various inventory locations, ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures. This involves supervising two career FTE and cultivating a team environment within and outside the unit with a high priority on customer service. The Inventory Manager will be responsible for ensuring that proper inventory controls are in place, reviewing procedures and making recommendations for improvements.

Physical Planning, Development & Operations (PPDO) manages and oversees all University activities and services related to real estate, physical and environmental planning, design and construction, engineering, physical plant maintenance and operations, and the associated business services necessary to support these functions. The University's main campus is spread across more than 2,000 acres and includes over 500 buildings comprising more than 8 million square feet. The department includes an operating budgets of over $48 million, manages a capital project portfolio in excess of $350 million, and employs nearly 300 full time staff to carry forth the duties necessary for the campus' development and operation.

The selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.

The selected candidate must have a valid CA drivers license.

Forklift operator's license or the ability to acquire one within six months.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

• Demonstrated experience and knowledge in storeroom and inventory practices, procedures used in the receipt, storage, and distribution of merchandise.

• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally and work harmoniously with a diverse group of individuals at all levels of the organization.

• Skills in decision making, problem solving and interpersonal communications.

• Intermediate computer application skills with the ability to use facilities and inventory management
