The City of Santa Cruz currently has two full-time vacancies for the position of Principal Management Analystin the Economic Development and Housing Department, one in the Housing Division and one in the City Arts Division. The eligibility list established from this recruitment will be utilized to fill any Principal Management Analyst vacancies in any department for the next one year. The Principal Management Analyst provides executive level assistance to the Director of a large department and other divisions in the department. Minimum qualifications are a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, accounting, public administration, emergency management or a related field depending on area of assignment; three years professional experience in public or business administration, public affairs, or a related field; and two years of supervisory experience. An additional two years of professional experience may be substituted for the Bachelor`s degree.
Current Vacancies in the Economic Development and Housing Department :
Housing Division: The Principal Management Analyst in the Housing Division will provide support to the Development Manager in the area of affordable housing projects. This position will be key in providing support in the implementation of project development plans through preparation of funding applications, reports, studies, and analysis for project development activities and through developing projections for budget, revenue, and expense projections.
City Arts: The Principal Management Analyst in the City Arts Division will work with the Development Manager to administer and expand programming. This work will include design of process improvements and policy development. budget preparation and analysis, revenue and expenditure projections, grant writing and preparing financial analysis. In addition, the Principal Management Analyst responsibility will include budget preparation and analysis, grant writing, and grant administration.
